Supreme Court ruled 9 to 0 in favor of letting the Federal Judges know they have no power to rule on these matters being discussed right here.

What are the historical checks and balances put into place to keep a president honest and above board...what keeps them from going rogue?

Did judges have this sort of power during other administrations?

Tesla is suffering for one big reason...it's owner pissed off a lot (a lot) of people with his antics.....and from what I've read, he is regretting this venture......he has had a couple open spats with some of Trump's staff.....

Star Link is going to suffer, Canada is going to drop it, the EU is working on dropping it....and once this happens, it will have no customers....people are pissed off....

Trump is not going to fix the economy.....every economist is speaking out against these tariffs and he has been listening because he keeps pushing some of them back....why you ask? I think it's because he knows they don't work and is looking for an off-ramp.

These "incompetents" in the public service are the ones that are making sure things are getting done....at one time the US needed a small, quick on it's feet government but so much has changed in 200 yrs that the government had to grow to keep up....in a perfect world each state would look after itself and that's the way it should be...but we aren't living in such a world.

Trump doesn't listen to anyone including his own staff.....its his way or the hiway just like he was either a mob boss or CEO of a corporation.....and that will never change. Anyone that says anything he either doesn't agree with or wants to hear, they are gone........no questions asked.

Listening to liberals whine is his job and duty...not spending taxpayers money like a drunken sailor on payday living the high life.....

I am not pro Trump. I'm pro fixing America's problems. I'd much rather it be someone who isn't a jackass. I dislike that he's pulling back on the Tariffs. Sends mixed signals. And makes him look weak. If Apple doesn't like tariffs then drop your price to make up for it. It cost them $550 to build a phone they charge $1100 for. They have plenty of room at 50% profits. Stop listening to Apple if they want to aide the enemy in order to maximize thier profits.

Apple trying to tell us what it would cost to build it in America is irrelevant. Tell us how much it will cost to build it in say Mexico.

So let's say the shoe was on the other foot and Musk decided to turn off Starlink to Europe and Canada. They'd biotch about that for sure. He'd be accused of playing politics.

Please drop Starlink. Canada and Europe can go backwards by choice. Then they get to listen to citizens that had rights to spend their personal money on Starlink and their govt punished them by stating "We don't like Musk" as the reason. Musk will still be richer than some countries, and everyone else gets to use Starlink.

In fact it would be a great journey for Canadians to decide how to find a replacement for 75% of your exports. That will show that darn Trump.

He is the president for all Americans, not just those who elected him.....this is where the biggest division lies....

A real leader knows this and will work towards unifying the US, not causing further rifts......

You see Musk only through American eyes........he is now hated on a global scale.....and not because of Doge because other countries could care less about Doge.....Starlink will be replaced and there are many other companies capable and more than willing to do so...it might take a little time but it will happen and Musk is very proud of Starlink.....more so than Tesla from what I've read......if Starlink fails on a global scale, it will fail entirely......

Trump pulled back on tariffs because for once he listened and each and every economist has told him tariffs don't work and will drive the economy into a recession.....hell even I know that in order to bring industry back to North America it will take more than just building a factory and pissing off all your trading partners.....and citizens.....

We as Canadians don't want other trading partners, we see the US as our family.....one that is currently run by a hostile parent but we know this parent will be moving on and hope the next one will be less hostile towards it's allies and neighbors.....

It's a sad, sad day when our government issues a travel advisory against the US....I've never seen this before....and we aren't the only allied country doing this either..........I see this as a very, very bad thing......

Ideally the 3 branches are the check; the President can veto a measure passed by congress but congress can undo the veto with a 2/3rds vote. Pretty sure Trump has a team assigned to find a path to dictatorship, and some people (TallTom, Zerks, Jellyrug) look the other way. For some, it seems to have become the American way.

He's a convicted felon for one, his actions on Jan 6th should have been enough to have kept him off the ballots and banned him from politics.

The Democrats had very good reasons to impeach him but ran out of time to do it........probably thinking that was the last they'd see of him......

Being very wealthy with very wealthy friends backing a person sure makes the difference.....

I would have also thought any respecting woman would have never voted for him due to his misogynistic ways...... but for some reason he draws them in......
