A Real History Lesson on Wars and Assassinations.

It seems it comes down to an information dispersion problem. The high life you refer to is the money printing and borrowing to infinity that the US government is guilty of doing... then spending it on things that take away from America.

DOGE is exposing hundreds of billions in excessive spending that does nothing to support the people that pay for it... at interest.

Elon and his high level tech guys are working for free because they understand the precarious situation the US is in. They don't want the dollar to collapse and take this country down to the lowest levels imaginable. Our countries financial rating did slip a spot under Obama, but we re still the cleanest shirt in the dirty laundry basket as most countries print fiat currency to keep pace with US inflation.

Meanwhile... we are racking up excessive cost with the MIC to keep protecting the world's shipping lanes as the Houthi's continue to shoot at us and foreign nations ships that transport goods for and to other countries. AKA... free and discounted protection for those that agreed but don't want to pay the 2% of the GDP they originally agreed to.

We are living one mistake away from something that nobody wants to experience.
You have been living this high life for decades and decades....there is no way I believe this administration is the ones that are going to fix the problem.......and...

Musk bought his way into this......and I believe is very much regretting this now as he ruined his brand....

Getting up on stage with a chainsaw depicting mass cuts while the people his actions are affecting are wondering how they will afford to live now that they have been laid off was a very stupid and ill conceived move on his part......

It's easy for people sitting on their couch to see these numbers of employees being cut and think "good, we can get rid of fat cat public servants"
It's not the fat cats that are being laid off, it is the clerks that process paperwork for average citizens to get their benefits, people who maintain food safety, protect the environment, repair and monitor nuclear systems, ensure flight safety, etc, etc.......Doge messed up and were forced to hire lots of these people back.....many of which already found other jobs abroad....

I kind of chuckle when I think of the role of Doge and how the president of this administration is spending millions upon millions of tax payer money going golfing or attending sporting events.....if he was that concerned about the economy, he'd be foregoing these lavish activities and setting a fugal example for others.......next you will tell me he is paying for these activities out of his own pocket......to that I and everyone else will have a hearty laugh.....

The sad part of all this is the average everyday taxpayer is only along for the ride......what will be will be and there isn't too much that can be done.

All of our conversations here are really just conversations with a little education but zero influence. Your mind and mine will not be changed but we are intelligent enough to not only know this but perhaps learn a little along the way even if it isn't from each other it will come from the research we do to defend our position.

You have been living this high life for decades and decades....there is no way I believe this administration is the ones that are going to fix the problem.......and...
By saying "you"... are you referring to me or the country as a whole?. I wouldn't say my life has been a walk in the park... and when I look at our countries history many have paid the ultimate price to not only protect itself, it has also protected other countries like you see happening right now.
Musk bought his way into this......and I believe is very much regretting this now as he ruined his brand....
Musk will be fine... the story hasn't evolved into the next chapter yet. Now, look at what type of people it reveals that think destroying Tesla is the answer to budget cuts. Some of these acts of criminality are partially funded by people we most likely don't know. The name Soros keeps coming up, however, that could be a false bogey man planted in the minds of many to keep the distraction agenda flowing.

Do you realize the size of the cuts in industry inside America that has occurred since the 90s and how many thousands of jobs were lost here? In my own life experiences I have moved from one job to another more times than normal since entering the work force in 1969. From construction to oilfield to OTR truck driving as well as sales positions and back through all the chosen occupations until 1993 when construction became my final choice. Many times I struggled financially and was not sure how things were going to pan out. There are no guarantees in life for the average wage earner. No matter how skilled you are you can always be at the mercy of decision makers that run businesses.

At the same time we had a 94% no show rate when people in federal office jobs were ordered to return to work after the work at home Covid period had ended. What does that tell us about people appreciating what they once had as a steady source of income and benefits?

Sleepy Joe was an absentee president... worked from 11 am to 4 pm max just 3 or 4 days a week. The rest of the time he was at home in his home state. Maryland? I don't remember. He had a staff with an auto pen and some people whose names we don't know running things... The full time job was babysitting the old guy and not letting him talk much off the teleprompter.

For the people that support Trump... he does put on a show... but at the same time the crowd support at WWE, Indy 500 and others has been very positive... the cheering as compared to the boos were very decisive. Joe couldn't draw a crowd... the guy is flat and a tool for the rich oligarchs that call the shots... mostly coming from the banking cabal.

I might add... Trump is also controlled by the banks. he doesn't have a top security clearance... the intelligence agencies tell him what they want him to hear regardless of what is happening. Wars are still about enriching the MIC and their connected buddies.

Seems to me Trump spends a lot of time taking care of business... is the president not allowed to rest and recreate? Does his R & R exceed his donated to charity salary? That doesn't take much when chartering a 747 to various locations... still waiting for the gold inventory check at Fort Knox.

Yes......not you as a person

I, nor does a lot of professionals think he will be....he has very much hurt his brand.....not just Tesla but Starlink as well...his antics are the reason, not his position leading Doge....

When Doge and Musk clean out entire departments without even knowing the full scope and scale of what they do, that is the issue...that and having the richest person in the world getting on stage like a jackass almost relishing these lay offs, that has to sting for the people affected....

Where is the number of 94% come from? If this is actually the case, then these people's supervisors should be also held accountable.....there is a thing called chain of command and that clearly wasn't engaged IF this is the case....

Biden was well past his prime.....that can't be disputed and is the ONLY reason Trump was elected....that and the "old boy's club" will never let a woman be the president....

Everyone knows Trump doesn't listen to his experts and does what he wants....

If the amount of time at work is to be the standard for R&R, there should be a lot of people being granted this privilege......lots of people spend long days...you were a rough neck were you not? I'm sure you had long days and yet there was no taxpayer money spent on you to jet set around the country taking in events...

If he as the president is that concerned about the economy, he should be more fiscally responsible......playing golf every weekend, participating in tournaments, and attending these popularity events is all fine and dandy when the economy is doing well......however it's on the brink of a recession and he could care less.......(I think he is starting to care about it a little these days)

Tesla stock was $162 in April of 2024. By any experts standards, being at $240 a year later isn't ruining anything. That was long before he changed parties and "bought his way into this". Nobody was being critical of his stock price nor the running of his companies then. Starlink certainly hasn't suffered. If anything it will make TESLA look like a penny stock.

The U.S. has a $300B trade deficit with one country alone. China. And a $900B overall. Every country but one (China), two of you want to count Canada, has responded to the tariffs to help erase those deficits. That's $900B we don't have to spend on R&D, defense, education, infrastructure, etc.

We spent $72B on above the line foreign aide.

That's close to $1T. That neither party can/will dispute. And we haven't even brought up any savings that DOGE will be responsible for.

So yeah, Trump is doing what he campaigned on doing, was elected to do, and should continue to do.

94% (true or not) got there and stayed there over years of incompetence. Trump in 3 months has gone head on into reversing the above $1T. He doesn't take polls, make bi partisan committees, or care about anyone complaining about how fast he's going. Wasting decades is what got us here. He wants it to be done in less than 4 years. His opposition need him to fail. Otherwise their political future is doomed.

He listens plenty. Just not to liberals. No matter what country they are from.

Yeah he goes to sporting events. Probably cost a fair amount of tax payer $$$. He gets his energy from that. Rather than listening to liberals whine.

Compare the amount of hours he works compared to his predecessors that vacationed in Hawaii etc. and were kept in a bubble away from voters, and he's a bargain to the taxpayers.

Thanks for sending that message Tom.... me thinks some people listen to the Mockingbird media way too much... and they are still doing it...

Whenever the newest Orange Man Bad information or propaganda is assembled it goes out at the same time to the MSM machine.

That is a DOGE claim with no details offered. You’ve always seemed so doubtful about what you’re told, and yet you believe and accept the DOGE numbers without a problem. It speaks volumes about who you really are.

They are posting up what they find in almost real time. The Press Secretary has list of what DOGE has found and offers printed copies of the list for the White House Press... What is your excuse now?

How about the 14 magic money machines funding stuff that is found in multiple departments including the Pentagon and not connected to the main computer at the US Treasury? Tell me what do you really know?

Here is the latest on what happens when a Federal Judge finds out he or she can't interfere in the duties of the President. Add to that the

Supreme Court ruled 9 to 0 in favor of letting the Federal Judges know they have no power to rule on these matters being discussed right here.

@TallTom . . . well that was refreshing!
I never even touched on the fact that the U.S. is $32T in debt. Our entire GDP is less than that. If we were a household, or a business, we'd be bankrupt. Any bank, any credit card company, anybody except loan sharks, (China) would never want to business with any family or business that operated like this.

And everyone wants to call Trump a bad businessman. Holy cow what on earth proceeded him? And they embraced their business savvy?

Is he an as&#$le? Yep. A Narcissist? Yep. Self centered. You betcha.

And a lousy politician. Thank God!

The good thing is........my mind is made up and so is yours......you are a very pro-Trumper and I am not......there's nothing you or I can say to change that.....and I won't back down until the very minute this forum goes dark......

Your pal Trump spent 4 yrs in the seat before and yet the US is in the state it is in.....Biden didn't get the economy in this state in 4 yrs.....it took longer than that...

Trump is as much to blame for the economy's poor condition as anyone....kind of like a self licking lollipop....

Look what Elon found... trying to hide computer data from computer experts is futile...
Sure he and his gang did......it's an easy spreadsheet to fabricate and display....especially if it is to justify what they are doing...

I trust none of them.
