I am a first time Busa owner. 2017 black on white. Looking for subtle upgrades...license/fender clean up...etc. Any and all help is appreciated. While I traded my Harley V-Rod in for the Busa, I keep a Harley Streetglide in the other stall of my garage. pictures coming

welcome to the org! Lots of folk cut the undertail and custome mount the plate. Others fab a bracket to move the plate by the axel of the rear tire.

:welcome: I would just do something like this.

Heat with a propane torch until you see the metal glow where the flame is directed---The metal stays reasonably soft for a couple minutes but you have about 30 seconds of optimum 'bend without fatigue' time. A set of sheet metal pliers works very well. Cardboard mockups first to get your angles right. Youtube the aluminum bending procedure. You really don't need to mess with the candle wax if you don't want. If you do, very slight film of wax and lots of soot in the candle ---throw some balls of paper in here (not in a glass candle holder though it will crack).

Light bolts hooked up to the OEM tag light connector work well. The crossfire of the light makes reading the plate a bit difficult at night but it's lit. The tail light by itself does a decent job of illuminating the plate but you can get stick on LEDs under the point of the tail that will work great.

Here's what I did. Simple, plug and play, effective.

Tiger Racing fender plate $29

LED light eBay, $10

Low profile bolts to prevent losing the plate or chunking a tire if it rubs. I put lock nuts on the outside. It's secure.

They're bright, plenty of light and great coverage

The wires are all hidden in the rail.

Plate sits at a really nice angle.
