A bit of generosity to lighten your day...

Not sure how many people know about this place, but in a town named Red Bank, NJ sits a restaurant called "John Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen. On the surface, the name brings to mind all the overly cliched celebrity restaurants scattered around the nation; gaudy furnishings and overpriced low quality dishes, but not this place...Soul Kitchen is a "Community restaurant". What's a Community Restaurant? It's a nonprofit, open to the public restaurant with, get this, no prices on the menu. There are no prices because, instead of ordering and paying for your meal, you have the choice of either donating to the restaurant whatever you can, or voltuneering at the restaurant to pay your way! All the meals served at the Soul Kitchen are 3 course meals featuring fresh local, and often organic ingredients, and the suggested donation for a meal is only $10. It's always a bit refreshing to see an establishment that is genuinely trying to give back to its community, and I wholehearted applaud Mr. Bon Jovi for his kindness in establishing it!
