watch my favorite channel again. saw a sandwich called
" poor boys". being from NJ and eating Philly Cheese steaks growing up . that thing looks like the bomb.

so no one from Louisinna has ever had this sandwhich
Hey, I eat 'em all the time. There are all types of po-boys from shrimp to meatball...from chicken to the club. You're right, they are some delicious sandwiches and there are some places that specialize in them. I even make my own here at home that are da' bomb. If you've never eaten them, then you definitely don't know what you're missing. I've also eaten some great Philly Cheese steak sandwiches, but po-boys are more versatile in the sense that there are so many different condiments that can be added to the sandwich.

Have you all ever heard of the "muffaletta?" Best ones are in New Orleans.

504 boy here, I seen this post when you first started it....but I had no idea what you were talking about. We are not used to seeing it spell poor boy. So thanks Bacharles for clearing it up. Po-boys are the bomb...I'm all about the seafood po-boy. If you're ever in Louisiana, or New Orleans for that fact, you have gotta get one.

muffaletta never heard of it. please explain
Muffaletta is actually the type of bread the po-boy is on. It be a muffaletta po-boy.

Parkette Drive -In in Lexington, Ky. has awesome po-boys. Is also the start of the weekly rides to Hall's On The River (another resturaunt, Beer Cheese heaven). Po-boy, sammich 'o da south.

WRONG!! Not even close to correct Gar. A muffaletta is a homemade sandwich with different types of condiments on it (i.e. ham, turkey, roast beef, and other specialty meats.). There is a special vinegar or sauce that makes this sandwich great. The sandwich is so huge that it uses a special baked bun that comes in different flavors to fit your tastes. I personally like the Garlic bun. The sandwich is sold in quarters because it is so huge. Hope now you understand.
