4th to 5th gear

Happends 1 out of 10 times that my busa (37000km - y 2003) wont gear up an finds a "neutral" inbetween 4th and 5th gear. Happends when I forget to make a destinctive move with my foot when gearing up. My thougt is that I have a gear wheel getting a little worn out?
Any thoughts on this one?

I've never heard of or experienced this. My '06 would find the false neutral between 5th and 6th if I was rushing things and didn't kick it hard enough going into sixth.

I would say what you're describing isn't necessarily a maintenance issue but a known problem that can be fixed by remembering to kick it hard up into gear. Some would tell you to try adjusting the shifter a little.
