I would like to remind everyone of a concept that is largely undiscussed called 4th Generation Warfare (4GW).
4GW has the following key components:
1. Divide a populace. Do it by Race, Religion, Economic Status, or extra points for doing it on all 3 or more dividing factors.
2. Convince the divided portions of the populace to fight each other.
3. Push the government towards intervening. In the most violent fashion possible.
4. Lambast the government for its intervention in the Medial/Social Media/Town Halls/etc etc etc.
5. Once both sides that were fighting are mad at the government, REGIME CHANGE TIME!
6. Have your politicians ready to take over the apparatus and transform it into a dictatorship.
This is not a conspiracy theory - this is a literal tactic used for decades anywhere that looks likely to succumb to it.
It is very hard to defend against.
Recognizing and fighting back:
Citizenry:
1. Don't physically escalate. Keep your guns in their cases and avoid bloodshed.
2. Don't participate in the rhetoric escalation loop. If the organizers of these campaigns cannot get overwhelming anger they cannot reach their goals.
3. Document and distribute the truth as much as possible.
4. In your personal groups and any larger meetings you attend, mention this tactic in the most non-conspiratorial fashion as possible. For example, ask if we are all being victimized by the same exact process that was used in Venezuela, Bolivia, etc to destroy their country.
5. Love your neighbor and try to get them off of the brink, regardless of their position.
Government:
6. If you are involved on the government side of things, don't allow yourself or your agency to be manipulated into taking the actions necessary for the 4GW architects to win.
Realize that some in your agency are ringers and will begin pushing the situation.
7. Identify the outside agitators where possible.
These will be the money folks - paying violent protestors for their time, paying for advertising that is detrimental to the situation, and acting to agitate the divided groups.
Look for heavy backpacks, "food and supply" vehicles that are handing out money, drug cartel tats, and training camps. Paid protestors may be paid upon arrival or upon leaving - have your overwatch teams attempt to spot people using their phones to receive financial transactions at the beginning or end of the riot.
8. Understand that dividing factors will generally be identified and escalated by the enemy. A perfect example is police response - police arriving with bottles of water to hand out and batons in case they are attacked doesn't meet the needs of the agitators. Police arriving in riot gear with tear gas is much better. Police arriving in armored vehicles with mounted machine guns, body armor, and military style garb is PERFECT.
9. That unstable coworker that you cannot quite figure out why they are still around? The one that talks about lighting up the protestors with the 240B, while rubbing his junk with a strange look in his eye? That guy is still around for a reason. You should look at the reason they are still around as that group of people or individuals who have been shielding him/her are likely the enemy.
