34/36 psi recommended from manufacturer!

(NVeeus04 @ Jan. 18 2007,11:51) go with what Metzler says. Every tire is different
Plan to...just trying to figure out as to why such a glaring diff. in MANUFACTURER recommended psi.

For comparison, what psi does Michelin recommend for the Pilot Power?

Anyone?

i run Pirelli's on mine. I think the 40/40 is what is reccomended. However, i always run 36/38 no matter what tire it is. Just seems to ride really well that way

I know everyone runs lower psi for improved grip in the turns, just surprised to see a "manufacturer" recommend such a low psi vs. the 42/42 that came with the OE BT56.

I've run my M-3's at 36/36 since I put them on, wearing very even. Remember, that is stone cold. When warm, 36 psi translates into 39 on my bike, perfect for my fat a$$, 225 pounds in full gear. Anything more, you will wear the center out too quickly. Mind you, this is for a single rider....

Can only imagine what a OE BT56 is at after riding from 42 psi stone cold...probably just want you to buy another BS rear tire.

try looking at other bikes and tires on the Metzeler site. If I recall, last time I did that, that ALL read exactly the same. They are saying an R6 needs the same PSI as a Busa?

Never trust the experts

I don't read too much into tire pressures. Most tires vary based on their particular tire design, compounds & properties. I always follow the specific tire values....my $.02.

Sheeyat! Maybe I've been running too high psi 40/38-40 (42/42 with the wife). Maybe that's why I'm getting such tire wear out of the center of the tires.

PSIs again

Here we go;

Trackdays 30-34psi depending on temp
Canyons 34-36psi
Commuting(reducing tire wear) 40-42psi

That's my opinion

The manual that comes with the busa says the bridgestones should be at 42/42.I have kept that and so far my tires look decent at close to 4k miles. But then again im not a very hard rider or "STUNNAH" either
