If you bought a used vehicle from another state and brought it into California and registered it you had to pay a $300 smog fee,the state appeals court on Friday 10/1/99 overturned the law and you may receive a refund.It's for Vehicle owners who have paid the fees since Sept.1992 and they can apply for refunds.For information about filing for refunds call toll-free 877 SMOG-FEE on monday 10/4/99 or going to website WWW.wyca.com to download claim forms.Hope this helps those who brought their vehicle in from other states and registered them with our greedy state and had to pay that smog fee.
