2nd time taking out the busa

Took the busa out for another go at the 1/8 mile. First time out Ran a 6.7@117mph.

This time I had lowered the bike front and rear and managed to turn out a 6.51 stock wheel base. 2600 miles and still on stock tire.
I believe the bike has more in it as is. But next time out it will be stretched and maybe geared with a good tire.

Good job...that's right where I'm at basically. 6.52...also swb. I've got an extended swingarm to put on it, but I'm gonna wait until I can't get any faster as it sits.

great choice mate, a competitor of my swb put extensions to see how easy it was compared to swb.lol first night with the rider aids 1.2 60s 8.4 from 1.5s & 8.7s that was first go .

OK, So here is my bike now. Thanks to dragracer237 for the extensions :)

Still need a tire to see how it goes, Looking at the shinko hookup, then a little gearing... maybe -1+2 so it would be 17/45
Any other options on gearing and still be a good rideable street bike? Really wanting to get into the 5's in the 1/8

Here are before and after pics of me stretching it out

Go with 17-47 or 48. It will still be streetable like that and give you enough gearing to get off the line

Exactly!

You're going to need a lot more gear than -1 Fr +2 Rr to get her moving.

What about the rear suspension.. spring and shock?

Your best bet is to have someone with suspension knowledge help you out. It's really a 2 person job and you can usually find someone at your local track to help you out. You'll have to be careful with how low/soft you go on the rear shock because of how long your bike is in relation to the brake light.

It's not fun having the tire hit the tail light and rip it out of the plastic, trust me

Justin nailed it on the head.

+5 sprocket on the rear should bring it in some. And I do understand what your saying, I'd really hate to rip out the rear of a brand new bike.. :(

My girls bone stock 06 stretched busa with a Shinko 009 tire went the same time as my bike.. 6.51@113mph, My bike ran the same time stock wheelbase and dyno'd tuned via ECU editor 190+hp.. If I can only get it to hook up should be around 6 flat maybe high 5's? Shooting for 5.90's.

Just got to get the tire ordered and a sprocket

The best I was able to get swb was 6.42....I needed a new shinko though so I'm thinking I could have done a bit better, but I decided to stretch it and go from there.
