Okay, well I "was" going to sell it that afternoon, so I thought I'd take it out to check how it was running. (this was the chinese model, Lifan)
That was mistake no.1
Went fine after about 5k's (3.1m). So I go up a windy hill, never been up before.
Mistake no.2
Anyway, that went fine. Coming down though, went into a corner (at speed limit) leaned over too far (was a right turn, declining height).
This was because I rarely use this bike, I MUCH prefer sport bikes for this reason
So, peg hit the ground, hard and back wheel started to lose traction. Okay, so I tried to steer it out (Mistake no.3), but that goddamned back wheel gripped again.
Over I go, up the curb and bike and I went for a wee slide over the concrete. Something like 13ft along.
And what's worse was I couldn't get it off my leg
Bruised my ego more than anything else, except for the bike maybe.
Didn't have a camera on me though, so no pics this time.
Oh, my gear took 95% of the damage that I would've had. (Redeeming factor no.1,2&3)
Now I need new gear. Figures it's not insured either
