2016 Busa..end of an era or new bike..?

Hi all, wonder if anyone has any news about the 2016 Busa. I want to upgrade my 2007 gen1 to a new bike and was looking at the Hayabusa Z or a standard bike and then fit some slip-ons.

I have been asking dealers what is around the corner in terms of a new bike but there are lots of rumours of either the Busa being revamped to a new breed with electronics or it will be scrapped in favour of a new ground up design big CC bike.

I dont want to spend all my money on the Z if there is a new launch next year...

Anyone over the pond have any news..?

Regards, Vindy.

Looked at the ZZR1400 but cant get me head round it. Like the Busa better. R1 is a good package but wont be any good for touring with my son.

I wudnt hold ur breath.... their focusing on the new GXSR 1000 not the Busa. the Busa is just not a big market for slowzuki. probably get some new stickers. maybe they will glow in the dark so the guy on the ZX14 can see where you are in his rear view mirror.....:whistle:

This bike feeds on 14,s :whistle:

I think a 1000 zuki might b better in roadrace than a 1400:cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

I saw a pic some place of a 2016 gxr 1000 ... it was blue and didnt really have the full fairings on the sides. If it was real of course. It looked neat. But Im waiting too. Got to anyway so no big deal but in about 2 years i will be chomping at the bit so they better come out big or else I will probable wine a lot

whatever they come up with theres an power problem....The jap manufacturers have a 200hp gentlemens aggreement limit for pure road bikes in standard form...a bit like the 186mph limit.
Yes the zzr1400 has more with ram air and the H2 has more, it however is a specialist model and not really for mass production.
My local dealer reckons theres nothing new for another year as they want the world focused on the next GSXR 1000.....just hope its not too late for Suzuki and the Busa by then.

if you already own a Busa....other than for the sake of saying 'look what i got' i see no reason to purchase a newer machine.
If you dont own a Busa and want one...I still think a used bike is the smart way to go....unless you have awesome credit, then CHARGE IT! lol
There have been no real "game-Changer" additions to this bike since its birth...some electronic doo-dads and ABS, but honestly the only thing that really worth mentioning is the Brembos. Same power, same looks, same motor...I get it that Zuki feels no need to improve on Perfection....but, they had the perfect formula for 1999, and 2008...seven years should bring about more Innovations than New Color Schemes and some plastic Widgets.....unless Suzuki's new Business Strategy is to only employ Performance Engineers for 24 mos. every 8 years:moon:
