Anyone watch both races? * * * * * * * * * * Two completely different races, although it seems like it's going to be a battle among most of the manufacturers. Too bad that BMW is essentially gone from the series, because the competition between Aprilia, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, and Honda will be strong--especially on the tighter European circuits. Glad to see MV back to their racing heritage, and hopefully this season will keep them moving forward. Phillip Island is a beautiful circuit, allowing the opportunity to stretch the bikes to their limits. Suzuki is definitely strong--if they can keep their bikes running--and it was a good response from Laverty to show Aprilia that he's a top-level competitor. Kawasaki showed they still have the stuff, and had the second race not been red-flagged, Baz and Sykes would have given Guintoli a run for the top spot. And Ducati looked good; expect to see them much closer on the tight circuits. A great season is shaping up!
