Never Forgotten
About 3,000 motorcyclists turned out in pouring rain on Queensland's Sunshine Coast for yesterday's 5th annual ride to raise awareness for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

Daniel, who disappeared in December 2003 from a bus stop on the Sunshine Coast, is feared murdered. Daniel was 13 at the time.

The foundation raises funds to educate children about personal safety and provide financial assistance for victims of crime.

Event organiser Greg Poultney says the large turnout shows how passionate people are about protecting children.

"There's grandmothers and children and bike clubs and patriots, ex-vets, all walks of life of motorbike riders have just decided that they agree with why people are riding, they agree that we need to stand up and shout out loud, 'keep your hands off our children'," he said.
