2008 won't start

I am hoping you all can point me in the right direction,

After a spirited weekend of riding, I put it away to rest. This afternoon it won't start. Key on (pump cycles), clutch in, press starter button and nothing. It doesn't engage the starter.

Can you help with trouble shooting? I haven't checked the battery voltage but I will most likely pick up a new battery as I think this one is the original.

Thanks in advance.

Fuel pump wouldn't cycle on if the kickstand had you. How about the killswitch. :dunno:

kill switch off (you know, towards you to start), won't start with kickstand up or down (pumps cycles either way though).

Do you have aftermarket levers? If so, switch from 1 to 3.

Have the battery load tested. The fuel pump should not cycle with the kickstand down and you should see chec or something like that in the gear indicator . Best of luck.
