2006 LE Body question

This is my bike before and after. I had it repainted but I am having trouble getting the plastic back on. The right side went on somewhat easily, but the left side seems to not line up. If i start at the nose, it wont reach in the back. I started at the bottom and got it the closest, but still not lining up. Is there a certain order or trick that I am missing?

It's very likely a mounting bracket(s) is bent from the crash/slide/whatever, making it not line up correctly.
It takes very little impact to put things out of place.
Once you removed the bolts initially, they now will no longer easily go back in place. As the bolts and mounting points were put in a bind after the bike went down.
I've seen it many times.

If the LEFT side is not lining up - could you post a pic of the left side?
