I have a 2001 Hayabusa with about 25000 miles on it. To problems, Im getting lousy gas mileage. About hundred miles to a full tank of easy highway riding. Also i think im hearing valve noise, wanted know if their is a timing adjustment or the only fix is adjusting the valves. Is it a big task to do it yourself if you have some mechanical skills. Also is there an adjustent with the cam chain tensioner.

25000 miles??? Here's what I would do, in order: change oil, change air filter, change spark plugs, adjust throttle bodies, and then adjust valves.
Did you buy it with that many miles on it?
If you did, you have to assume that no maintenance was done.
