2000 hayabusa fuel pump

My bike starts up fine. but fuel pump primes super low, you have to almost put your ear close to tank just to hear it. It used to prime loud and clear. But it does start every time.

Menace, welcome. We could use a good menace! Do you have a picture of your bike? Can you describe the year, how long you have owned it, the general maintenance history?

So you may find it silly and too obvious but since we have no detail yet, I ask, is the battery charged?

00 fuel pumps suffer from known issues. Do a search, lots of people have replaced them. Including me. Twice.
And welcome aboard, like they said take a moment to introduce yourself. And we like pics.

Your 2000 model bike has an external fuel pump which is located on top of the crankcase RHS, behind the cylinder block.
It is NOT in the fuel tank.
I have the same setup on my 1999 Busa, I replace the fuel filter and clean out the gauze mesh screens in the pump housing every year and it never caused any problems.
So as long as it starts up easily, and has full power, ride it and enjoy it!

2000 suzuki hayabusa owned it 5yrs and have a brand new agm battery not even a week old

Hey ! I got a 2003 hayabusa with external fuel pump
Recently the fuel pump was not priming ( not turning on ) the fues + relay is fine

But when i move the wholle wirring on the front of the bike it primes then its dead again
By moving harness it works

My queation is which wire should i check

No F1 light too
But the f1 light comes on when the FP primes


Please help
