Hello Everyone,

I have a 2000 model hayabusa, which i recently picked up from a friend. She starts fine and runs fine, however after running for some miles she would start to bogg down and stall and some times completely die down. But once it stops, i crank it up again and she is fine for the next few miles. I am guessing its the fuel pump. Any suggestion?? I also read that it could be a fault with one of the sensors which is connect to the gas tank.??? Pls suggest. Thanks

99-2000 pump set ups are garbage
Best thing to do is upgrade to the newer tank and fuel pump set ups
It's a little pricey if you don't already have the parts.

But I'm sure Busabim will chime in with his low cost fix!! :)

I am actually in India, hence getting a complete tank and pump would be quite difficult and expensive as well. My best shot would be to get the pump fixed, but all i wanted to know from you experts is that shud i lookout from some thing else besides the pump which needs to be attended to get this problem sorted..

Txs 1 bondoman.

You do not need to go to in tank fuel pump, expensive and unnecessary modification.

I have run a secondary low pressure external fuel pump for 2 years without problems. Step 1, clean screens and replace/clean stock fuel pump.

Step 2: install secondary fuel pump:
