200/55/17 rear tire

10+ years on 2 Busa's and 5 consecutive bikes. Because I can.

My Aprilia RSV4 had a 200 / 55 - 17 from the factory ~ never used the edge so I went with a smaller tire *

Pashnit, obviously you like the Avons. Not many makers offer a 200 tire, and that's what works best on the Tuono. Are they fairly sticky? Everything I've read says they're more of a touring tire. I sure like the price a lot better than the Pirelli Supercorsas I've been going through.

The B Kings factory rear are 200 as well but ive not used one cause they are expensive  i have run an Avon 3D Ultra Sport AV80 190/55 and it lasted well (8000kms) and hung on great wet or dry, tyre was steaming after a long wet ride and dried rather quick while a mates Angel sat saturated.

Do yourself a favor and try a Q3+, Supercorsa performance at half the price (made in USA) and the + loast way longer than the Q3 they replaced.

Man, I always run Michelin's. I just like em'. Then again, I like the Bridgestones that come on the bike also.

Q3s sound awesome but I can't find them in a 200 width. The bike works so well I don't want to change the handling characteristics as I do the occasional track day. I'm considering getting a second set of wheels set up for that. The Q4 does come in a 200 but I don't think it would last any longer than the Pirellis.

Went on a ride with PirateDiverJeff before I swapped wheels ~ that is a 190 / 55 Q3+ next to the factory stock 200 / 55 *

Do my very best to wear out my tires ~ well past the designated tread marks *

The wheel currently on my RSV4 is an early 5 spoke ~ with a 180 / 55 - 17 Power 1 used for the drag strip *
