1397cc Starting Issue

First off, I def did a search both on this board, as well as others in hopes of finding an answer.

I have it narrowed down to the starter getting too hot, and not working.

I currently run a 1397cc with 24v charging system (tiger racing),power commander, brocks alien head megaphone.

I currently have engine ice pouring through the system, have double fan setup (with muzzy's blade) as well as an over ride switch for the fan.

Is there anything I can do/purchase to get this problem rectified?

Does anyone make a heavy duty starter? should I wrap it in heat shield?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Could very well be the starter clutch, most people upgrade them to an 03 and up assembly. Other than that 24 volt on a 1397 is the way to go!

I just put a new replacement in, because without the 24v it was frying it out.

So with the 24v, the starter clutch got replaced.

U have no problems?
