10,000mi 4 corners ride route planning help. can i stay in your yard?

i have been working on my route for this September. i am going to leave on the 8th and head to Saltlake to stay with some Brothers.
then to Boisie to stay with my friend Schoolie.
Cousin Johnny's in Vancouver Washington.
up to Blaine where i have no idea where i am staying.
then back down past Vancouver and to the coast where i hope to camp for a couple days as i make my was down the coast.
i would like to stop and see Nancy Riggs in Camarillo, hopefully to drop off collected funds.
next down to San Diego where the Uglies hope to escort me in and where i may just spend an extra day. then off to Pheonix where i have a few friends but no idea where i will stay there. Albuquerque is next where i have a home with Sharp up in the eastern mountains.
Oklahoma City where i hope to find a room with Tiger Mike Revere.
while in Oklahoma i should say hi to family and a few Org members as i make my way across that fine state.

from there i am kind of at a loss. i know we have org members in between Oklahoma and West Palm beach. i really have no clue about where or who i am going to stay with once i cross the Mississippi.
there is Blanca in West Palm, Lady Ninja in Atlanta, the Bash in NC, Chris up by Eire, and Jeff Hennie in DC.

i think Blanca is going to try to ride to the Keys and then up to the Bash with me.
the Bash in NC should be a nice rest for me. then it will be back on the road north.

Well you will be circling me, I am in northern middle TN. but still at least 3 hours off route. Good luck and take lots of pictures. :thumbsup:
 
Thats one heck of a road trip...I think it will be more than 10,000 miles when your done.. Make sure you have a new set of tires on your bike before you leave....Have a good trip and be safe....Will you be traveling alone?

it will be the longest trip i have ever undertaken. i will be traveling alone. i could not find anyone with the time and money to go with me. i will leave with good tires and plan on a new set 1/2 way through, as well as about 3 oil changes too.
maybe we will see ya on the road :thumbs:
 
That's a pretty adventurous route plan, I like it. You'll be passing north / north west of my place when swinging back west on I95 thru NY. I live far enough south of Buffalo it would be to far out of the way. I'd love to make a trip like this if I had the time. Longest trip in our book was 3520 miles in ten days from Wellsville NY to Cocoa Beach Florida and back in the spring of 2010. My problem is I HATE interstate riding and when ever I start looking at a ride similar to this I get incredibly frustrated trying to sort the details.
 
You will be West of us, but if you swing your route more East into NC and swing by Pinehurst, welcome to stay over, wash and service the bike. If it is a week end you can ride with the Raleigh bunch, Loomis and his gang. :laugh:

It is about time I go ride with them again. :whistle:

nothing is too far out of the way when your 1700mi from home. :thumbs:
i don't mind the superslab. you just need a good sourse of music and audiable books.

are you going to the Fall Bash? if so i may just follow you home, just to stay out of TN. (read thread "i was arrested in Memphis".) :)

Can't wait to see you my friend. We will be able to service the bike when you get here. I will have oil and filter ready and waiting.
 
Your current route has you going going ~30 miles from my place in Maricopa, Az. Looks like you're planning on going through downtown Phoenix. I would do anything to avoid that unless you come through after 7 pm or before 6 am or on the weekend. The 10 and 17 load up all day during the week, and being in stop and go with leather in the heat is not fun (been there). If you cut over to the 347 and take that up into Chandler, you'll go right past my place. You can either take the 8 or the 238 out from Gila bend to 347. The latter is a better ride. I've got a spare shower, bed, and brewskies.
 
That's quite an adventure. Let me know when you will be near Monterey Calif and I'll ride down part of the coastline with you.
 
Key West is great...just be sure you don't drink too much when your down there...Its a 24/7 party.
Be sure you take plenty of pictures for the .org or it didn't happen:laugh:
 
Are you on a strict timeline because you will be missing some of the best coastline and roads in the world?
 
I did it but only 8500 miles 39 states ( didn't go up to New York area)! Had a blast , Stayed at KOA's all the way . Get your music set up and Get a throttle lock . I use a throttle boss for riding but if I did a long tip again I would get a throttle lock so I could let go with that hand . Hook up a USB charger from PASHNIT for your stuff.
