08 hayabusa pulling hard to the right

How do you adjust the front steering so it don't pull to the right? Does this mean something might be bad or is it adjustable?

Sounds like possibly knocked out of alignment, been doing wheelies?

How long has it been doing that? Did it just start? You hit anything? Triple trees loose, forks tweeked? Need more info

just started doing it checked the forks to make sure they werent bent and then double checked the bolts. Not sure just bought it a week couple days later started pulling hard

If you bought it new (and didn't hit/run over anything) and it's under warranty, take it to the dealer. If not, If you did hit a curb, pothole, ect. slight chance u bent the wheel. Most likely the triple trees have come loose and the forks are slightly turned, causing your pull. An easy fix. Just guessing without any more info to go on.

No, I wouldn't replace the wheel. It's possible a bent wheel would make it pull, but it would more likely have a wobble or vibration the faster you go.
If the bike hasn't been in an accident it's likely your triple trees just need put back straight and tightend.

Where are you? There's alot of good folks on here. You could probably find someone here close to you that would come look at it for you for nothing. Lets try a few things before you get raped by a dealer.

Check the rear wheel too. Make sure it's tight and aligned properly. You can look at the marks on the aluminum adjustment blocks on each side of the axle. Should be the same number on each side.

You should work out on both sides.

Sounds like it has been racked out of line some how... get it alligned. Check tires for uneven wear also... look at the rear axle adjustments and make sure it is even.

Post a request with your city and ask if there is anyone close by willing to take a look at it for you

Stand in front of the bike an look directly down at the front tire make it not worn in badly on side it may make it pull, had that effect on me with a badly uneven worn tire.

:welcome:

What are you doing with a Busa as your first bike? Just because it can be done doesn't mean you should. A Busa is not a beginner bike.

No that the newbie speech is taken care of...

A bent rotor would not pull to one side. Rear axle and fork alignment will.

Let's start simple. Is the rear axle tight and aligned? The axle marks on the adjuster brackets need to be aligned with the tick marks on the swingarm. If they are not you will need to loosen the axle nut to make adjustments. Use the rear adjuster nuts will need to be loosened to turn to adjuster bolts. From the back, clockwise moves the axle forward. Counter-clockwise moves the axle backwards. When the tick marks match, and the chain has 2-1/4 in total slack (no rider), you may tighten the axle back down. Torque it to 72.5 ft/lbs, pushing the wrench forward against the adjuster bolts. Pulling away from those will pull the axle out of alignment.

Have a competent friend help with this part:

For the forks you need a triple tree stand to lift it with. Or you could use a 1000 lb tie-down strap over a rafter. Once the front wheel off the ground loosen the upper fork tube clamp on one side. Next very carefully start to loosen the bottom clamp. If the fork slides down you can use a 2x4 under the tire to carefully lift it back up. Once it's lined up tighten the lower clamp bolts to 16 ft/lbs. Then tighten the top to 16 ft/lbs. Repeat for the other side. The axle and wheel assembly will true the forks.

caliper dragging wouldn't do it. loose triple tree could've caused it, or more likely, improper torque on the rear axle nut. check it out, when you gas it hard, the top of the rear sprocket is pulled forward, hard. now normally that would translate into spinning the tire, but if that rear nut is loose it could jerk the wheel out of alignment. now that particular scenario would cause a pull to the left, but that doesn't mean it wasn't loose. anyway, it's a good thing to check anyway, you can count the hash marks to eyeball whether or not they're even.
