Why? The 08 already has an opening so you can put things in the rear cowl. We just need a latching lid to complete it. I use that space to carry a rain jacket right now.

I would like a larger opening than the tiny one provided by suzuki.

I am just about done with the new glove box. I have been concentrating on the new inner fender, license plate tail bracket and chain guards. They are now done and other items are in the works.
