08 busa rear shock or 08 gsxr 1000 shock

I had an 08 rebuilt and revalved for my 02' by traxxion dynamics....made all the difference in the world

Gixerhp has some experience with the Gixxer shock on the Busa... I think he has an Ohlins for sale yet (the gixxer one) as it is not a good swap on the gen1..

They are a different length and the mount holes I think he said are different.. was not worth all the headaches.. (on a stretch bike? no idea of the issues but they are not made to corner anyway)

is the stock 08 shock an upgrade? or should I just have the gen 1 shock worked on?

I got a brand new 08 on ebay for $70...it didnt matter since i was sending it away to be worked on but for $70 I got a new one,its not an upgrade,it is exactly the same as gen 1,you will see the difference after it was returned from traxxion dynamics when i post a pic,or you can do a search,I had a thread about it when i had it done

did you ever have the forks done?
I just installed 08 gsxr 1000 forks

Darned if I can find it but I could have sworn that I read the Gen II shock had a larger diameter shaft and firmer stock spring and damping rates? Maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part?
