I changed the speedo on my 03' Canadian Busa to an American spec gauge I got off of ebay. It had 1600 miles on it so I just put a few more on the KM gauge, did the math and swapped it out at the right time so milage is right on. My Q is does the Canadian gauge do the calcs internally for the difference in KMH and KM-odo, or does it have a different speed sensor to creat a different value sent to the gauge? I wonder if the part number for the American speed sensor and the Canadian speed sensor are the same, I guess that would answer the Q difinitively. While on the topic where does the speed signal come from?
Thanks, JT!

there is a wire that runs from the guage down the left side of the bike and is attached to the speed sensor which attaches onto the front sprocket cover. This reads a signal from the "speednut" which hiolds your front sprocket in place.

Thanks, I found it. There doesn't seem to be a part # on it though, to verify if it would be a different part from the American models.
JT! :super:
