01+ fuel tank on a 2000

I have a 2000 hayabusa that the fuel pump went bad on. I bought the newer style tank and pump to remedy the problem. I'm wondering is it really that easy? Can I just swap everything out and rewire the pump/sending unit? I don't see a vac port for the FPR anywhere on the new tank. Does it regulate the fuel in a different way?

Yes, it is that simple.. You also need the fuel line and nipple from the '01 as well..

I did this swap on my 2000 to cure the vapor lock issues I was having.. Great mod well worth the time and money..

Just curious if you all got this solved, the switching of the tanks. I have a 1999 that has a 2006 tank and pump. Let me know if you need pics or info.

Yes the swap can be done, here is what is needed
01 and up tank
01 and fuel pump, and fuel line nipple from newer throttle bodies,
or if you cant find one, there are aftermarket adapters that will work!
a 4 pin molex connector
