Had to show Bessie’s rear shock some love! Thought I would share:
Looking nasty!

lots of roas grime and worn rubber!

Should be 12 Bar (per the spec card)

Spring, preload adjuster, end cap, separator piston, etc... removed.

piston, valving, cylinder and reservoir draining.

this stand makes work soooo much easier!

fresh earl, new guts!

cleaned and reassembled!

I am going to do Toothless (‘08) forks and shock next... I will post more...

No problems with mine either. It is just time for service. oil should be changed every two years... and since I was in there, it is easy to change all the consumables.if the piston gets gunked up or the shims get stuff in there - you wouldn't likely know until/unless you took it apart.

@MC MUSTANG It looked like you had some oil leakage form the first photos. Mine never gets that dirty. Maybe I'll have a look at mine next season. I'm not tearing it apart now or it will become a summer-long project. Thanks for the tip.
