hi dears,
at ´99 (all) & ´00 (the 1st ~ 3 months )

who ever has an issue with a never more working motor when at good temperature
should hve a look for the fuel hoses.

this i found at a ´99 only a week ago :

have a look at the manual´s extension for 2000.
there they describe where to look and what to do.

Good advice Mr.Berlin they are often over-looked,neglected. My 2000 Busa back in 2003 had the fuel hose split wide open length wise, while riding. DOH!
Rubb.

All the 99 and 00 bikes have this setup,(....)

distinguishing feature : the ´99 hoses have a white dot
in opposite to this the ´00 have this dot in red

i personally did this replacement i guess a dozen times now and always with best success.

recommandation factor? 100%

(...) they come with metal coils around the fuel lines, and it's important to put them back on when changing fuel lines.

yes

and pay attention of the fuel hose lining - followinng the ´00 manual´s ext. the FUEL RETURN hose has to go around the hose from gearbox ventilation to airbox.

Not sure what the color of the dot has to do with the fuel line routing or shroud, but okay...

the color tells you if you have a ´99 or a ´00 hose
and the ´99 hose like to bend in 99.5% as shown in my pic above.
and the routing they changed with the color of the dot at same time as shown in the ´00 manual´s extension.

so far i understand the manual.
