I disagree. There is no actual right that anyone has to become a United States citizen and therefore we have no responsiblity to that cause. "We the people" decide when our borders being opened or closed are doing more harm than good. Therefore it is not a right but a privilege that is granted to others when we, as a nation, see fit.

Currently we have too many people flooding our borders in the name of opportunity and our own people are losing their opportunity. Eventually there won't be any more reason to want to live in the United States than there is currently to live in Mexico.

Selective Enforcement or limited ability to enforce the law given the swarm of people jumping a somewhat invisible line that is more than 1000 miles long? I'd say it's the latter.

imigration is fine....through the right channels....tunnel diggers/fence jumpers and truck stuffers are not following channels.

illegals should be shot on sight...it would surely deter the majority. This does not ONLY apply to mexicans...peruvians/hatians/cubans/africans....every person not born to or decended from a current "citizen" of the US.

I wouldn't go anywhere without knowing I had the right and persmissions to be there. So I expect nothing less of everyone else.

I understand you comments, but you took mine out of context. When I say our responsibility, I am refering to the broken system that we already advertise as non-functional. If there is a legal process that is so confounding, that American Citizens with degrees can't understand it, it is completely unreasonable to expect people from other countries to be able to navigate the immigration system.
I agree with shutting the gates if that is the way that we want to go, but if we are going to have a system, then lets have one that works. But I am happy if that is the only part of my statement that you disagree with.

Both of my parents came to this country some 40+ years ago.  They were proud to come thru Ellis Island.  Both of them knew no English, but studied hard to learn the Language of their NEW Country  - ENGLISH!  Not Spanish, French, Italian, German, etc.  But ENGLISH!  They learned the customs, behaviors, etc.  They learned to become an American!  Both were proud the day they became American Citizens!

People didn't give them a break then, they were expected to 'conform' to the way of life in the USA; fit-in...be American!  Why should we expect any different now?!?!?  They're really fuming about this Immigration issue!

Personally, I'm OFFENDED that my local stores are replacing all their signage with English AND Spanish!  I see more and more products with English AND Spanish!  I'm sick of it!  We speak English in the USA.  I shouldn't have to learn to speak Spanish (well, I can, but that's beside the point!) just to order a Hamburger @ McDonalds!

You want to work in this country, learn the language.  You want to live in this country, become a citizen, pay your taxes!  If you don't want to do any of that...stay home!

1. Deny employment, OF ANY KIND, if they don't pay taxes. (I pay taxes, and I don't think it's fair that they don't.)
2. Shutdown ALL "Social Services" in this country. (I'm tired of paying for stuff I can't use.)
3. Remove citizenship from anyone who "Refuses" to get a job and deport them somewhere else, if they are physically able to work, and under the age of 55, or they own a business that pays taxes. (You don't like it, we help you find the door.)

When the lazy citizens (the one's living off of Social Services) start starving to death, they take a "not so high class" job. Motivation springs eternal when the belly button touches the backbone. We'll all have more of our paychecks in the bank, because we wouldn't be paying to support everyone else!

Everyone who supports Socialism in the U.S. can leave right now!!!!!!!!!! I didn't serve this country to protect a bunch of lazy slobs that just want to steal money from my family! That's right! I said they’re STEALING MONEY FROM MY FAMILY!!!!!

I state this because right now this is a very touchy subject. However when I read this I thought.. you know.. this does give a differant prospective on things..

After I read this, I thought.. uhh no I dont think so.. that would never fly in Mexico..

Actually it wouldnt go over well in ANY other country.. so why does it go on here? and tolerated?

I have no problems with people coming to the United states for a better life.. what I do have a problem with is if you are going to come to the US for a better life.. stop saying how good it is where you left.. it cant be all that good or you never would have left in the first place.

And instead of waiving your countries flag that you left, pick up and American flag and wave it.. become an American..

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.


So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:



1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and dont enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.



I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.


However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

OUr system can only support a certian amount of people . My father in law is in education in Arizona . The system there is going broke because of all the illegals there . Thats because no matter what if the kids are here they get to go to school . Our school system is poor enough without people that don't pay taxes . I live in the Deep South and we live with this Border crap every day....It seems like the Border has moved East to somewhere around Houston these days...Around here, the Corpus Christi, area the Hispanic population is somewhere around 80%...And there are slowly taking control of the area's politics and services...
And yet they are always asking for more for their "Peoples"...

Ah, but you see I never crossed the border illegally.

I agree with you that politicians are scum.  But I do vote, try to change the system.  I almost always vote incumbents out.  Get rid of the political power bases, make it a term of service instead of a career.
