Decided to take the day off and headed for the hills. Mt. Lassen National Park is about 70 miles or from me. The scenery was awesome.

Lota wide open stretches up in the Sierra's but you really gotta watch out for the deer. I saw 2 ambulances rushin down the hwy then a mile or 2 later I saw 2 Black Harleys being loaded on a tow truck. Didnt seam too wrecked but they were cover'd with dust and on a straight stretch looked like both had been down and there were no riders in sight so they musta been in the ambulance. I really wanted to take a pic but didnt wanna stop and talk with the CHP officer.

I like doin the solo thing sometimes, pass when I want, stop when I want, take pics ... Had a really nice day with no close calls... but it was about 100 degrees when I got back down to the valley floor where I live - whew! Leathers = HOT!
One place I stopped only had reg and it was $3.12 per gal. !
I love these little road side mom & pop stores, very cool.
Made a new lil buddy outside the store
Lots of views, sometimes hard to concentrate on the road.
