Finally purchased a new gen

Some teaser of the LED. just cleaning up the wires. So far, I’m proud of how clean I’ve made it. Definitely one of my best work.

Alright. Finally finished the install, XK XGLOW million color LED kit with Bluetooth/iPhone app module. Super bright, illuminates well. I’m just waiting on Scott @ bluegauges.com to return my gauges and I can finally put her back together. Does anyone have an easier way of reaching him? I know he works out of NY, but he’s super slow on answering.

I have ASV shorty levers. Absolutely love them. Worth every dime.

As for your battery, be careful with lithium ion batteries in the winter. The last one I had hated winter.

Yeah, the USB chargein plug I installed also has a battery tether. I’m interested in your lever, how does the clutch feel when with the shorty vs stock? The busa gen 2 clutches are pretty hard, i was wondering if I should do long clutch and short brakes.

I dont have any issues with my clutch. I use one finger for the clutch.

Did you get the fancy charger for lithium batteries?like @GAmedic said, I killed one in 2 months and when I called shorai, the first thing they asked was if I had any electronics on the bike and how long it sat. I said I had a usb charger and alarm and it had been sitting for 3 weeks. They told me that this cannot be done with lithium, because they crank the motor faster, but can not sit for weeks with a small draw, like and acid battery can. They went ahead and replaced it for me and sold me the special charger at a discounted price and she now lives plugged in, unless I’m going to be riding it everyday. I liked ASV levers a lot when I had them and also like Pazzo levers. I still have a set of Pazzos in a box somewhere that can’t use, since I upgraded to brembo master cylinders. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll snap some pictures if you’d like to purchase them.

My issue with the battery was it didnt want to start half the time. Being that a lithium ion battery is total electric with no gel or acid inside of it makes it susceptible to cold weather problems.

That’s interesting! Mine has never done that, but we have not experienced temps lower than upper 20s since I’ve had it and the bike never sits outside overnight.

If you can find a tuner that uses Ecu Editor, they can dyno tune with that, and you won't have to buy a power commander.

Mine sits outside most of the time which is why I wash and wax it so frequently. No room in my parents garage. The couple of times I had starting issues, it was sub 20° outside.

I was wondering about the brembos, since my gen 2 came with Brembo brakes/ABS, I didn’t know if it was better to just get the brembo master cylinders (unless I already have them and is oblivious).

I know they can dyno from the Ecu, but I’d like to have 2-3 different maps that I can change on the fly. That’s why I wanted a PCV with an LCD screen. It’d also help when something. Goes wrong, I can understand which part. I can also switch from street riding to track without retouching the ECU.

From what I’ve read on here, not worth the expense, unless you are eliminating ABS all together. I can tell you that, on my concours14, the Braking system has great components, but feels terrible due to ABS. The busa on the other hand, is a complete joy on the braking department, but mine doesn’t have ABS.

Hmm, I might ride a season with the ABS to decide that. It isn't really that bad of a tool honestly. I can't imagine driving my 600hp awd car without ABS.

I guess you need to decide if you want the safety of ABS or the great feedback a non ABS system provides when upgraded MCs and braided lines are installed. I have no intention of removing abs from the concours14, so I’ll just live with it.

I'd like to test out the non abs upgraded MC and lines before I attempt to do that lol. Unfortunately, that might be a little hard. I'm assuming bikes are unlike cars because non ABS in cars is just kinda silly unless you're planning on some low speed drifting.

You can have 2 Ecu Editor maps at once.
An inline switch is needed to toggle between the 2.
