My first bike was a 2012 Kawi ZX-6R which at 1500 miles I got hit by a BMW M6 that didn't look before he changed lanes. I restored that wrecked bike on my own and used the rest of the insurance settlement to buy a 2005 750 GSX-R. I then found a killer deal on my current 2013 Hayabusa left over for $9,800. My wife currently rides the ZX and I traded the GSX-R for the Busa. I also have a 2015 Silverado and a 2016 Subaru Legacy! The green kawi was before the wreck, most likely the day I brought it home and the mustang I traded for the silverado as Indiana winters make it pointless to have a car like that.

Believe it or not my first bike was a 2003 Busa. I jumped on it against the advice of many because I figured thats the bike I had always wanted and if I couldnt learn to ride and pass a license test on it I shouldnt have it. Best decision I ever made. Put 60k miles on her.

I'm the exception, rebel, and irresponsible motorcyclist who, after riding a 1988 Honda Shadow VLX 600 for three years decided it was time for a sport bike and got the Busa.

No "stepping-up" to a bigger bike. 25k miles and no problems. The only alternative would be a newer one.

my 05 was literally my first bike, I've had it for 9 years now. Went from stock to a 1397 with a carpenter head, cams, race cut gearbox, full hmf exhust and a power commander. My daily steed is a 16 KTM 1190 Adventure R. You know, for bad weather.
