Seeing as my bike is now running right, I've decided to change my suspension and some tranmission parts, for younger items.
Front forks are done, now onto the cushdrive, looks like 40,000 miles has taken its toll on them and maybe it will cure the infrequent 'judder' I get, when releasing the clutch in 1st gear.
After fitting the new rubbers, it seemed almost impossible to push the sprocket hub back into the rear wheel.
I thought I'd post the way I used to get it all back together easy.
I chamfered the edges of off the ally casting points, that press in between the rubber grooves, applied Vaseline and by using my body weight the assembly slid into position, in about 10 seconds.
Notice the difference between the old and new rubbers, in the first picture.
Hope this is useful to someone.
