Does anyone know what the bolt size thread and pitch is for the mirror mounts? I'm trying to purchase an adapter to use so that screw-on type mirrors can be used.

Been looking for mirrors I can get painted also. What styles have you found that screw on with adapters?

M6 x 1.0 for a Gen I

Thanks.

I purchased these from eBay. They costed under $15 shipped and hopefully they don't turn out to be too ugly. I didn't want to spend too much on a set of mirrors. Once they come in and are installed, I'll post pictures on this thread.

I also purchased the chrome mirror mounts in the original post and these black ones. We'll have to see which ones are a better match for my bike's color.

Here are a few shots of the mirrors for size comparison to stock. Once I receive the mirror mount bases in a few days and have them installed, I'll post more pictures. My impression is that they're quite cheap and not of much quality at all. That's okay though as I payed under $15 for them.

Alright guys, sorry it took a while but it has been quite the selection process for mirrors. The last pair above was junk compared to this new set. It comes with everything needed for install and the only other tool that you'll need is a 8mm wrench. Here are a few pictures of what came with the set of mirrors and size comparison to the stock mirrors.

The hardware that this set comes with: 4 allen bolts that are the same size as stock (M6x1.0), 4 nuts (not needed for installation), 2 rubber mounting bases, and 2 allen wrenches.

The base of the mirrors are quite different than stock but look fine once they are installed. They look quite nice, compared to the bulky stock mirrors but I'll have to see how well they actually work when riding.

How are they while riding? Do they stay in place? Can you see ok?

Yes, they stay in place fine and the adjusted position doesn't move. They're definitely smaller than stock and because of the shape, will require different positioning to accommodate your preference. As pictured, I have them turned inwards and can see completely fine. They are big enough to see fine and are definitely worth the upgrade over stock.

Here's a picture of Synista's bike with the same mirrors mounted in the opposite orientation of mine.
