Post a time slip

Steveo -

I think I'm getting .3 in the quarter. With the difference in 60' compared to my 8.86 run I probably would have gone 8.88 or 8.89 without nitrous on the 8.58 pass. I think I got a full .3 even with the missed shift points. I'm going from 154.09 to 163.24 mph so that's a full 9 mph too. The other nitrous pass was probably only 162, but still 8 mph improvement. I think with proper shift points and a 1.39 60' I will see an 8.54 or 8.53 which is more than .3 seconds. I don't run nitrous much, and it doesn't come on until 2nd gear, but this is the best e.t. improvement I've seen with this setup so I'm happy with the results.

I gotcha. My bike had a massive weight reduction over the winter. I also have a spray bar setup for a 48 shot to go on once I get it up and going too. We just bought a house, getting married in April, and still have to build my "garage" :D, I'm getting anxious to get it back rolling and just wanted to get an idea of what to expect when run the juice. Still bone stock motor for now though.

I would expect more than .3 and a full 10 mph with 48 hp. Of course I'm not sure everybody uses the same orfice size to hp calculators so there is some room for difference. My bottle pressure started at 1000 psi on those runs. I'm adding 17% fuel which some people say is to much for 40 hp so I might be giving up a couple hp. My bike is lighter than average (465 pounds) which helps.

Oh yes, indeed. My bike is about as like as a busa can get, short of extreme radical changes. haha I have the poor boy R1 wheels and BST's are about the only change I could make to lose more weight short of big money and not making it street legal. Can't wait to weigh it and see what I get. I calculated right at 50 lbs of weight loss, weighing all of my changes all winter :D

Old motor passes from last fall. Bike is much faster now on motor. Had way too much kill in on these passes.

Here is a more recent pass. Bike stuttered going from first to second cause of a faulty kill switch. Sorry for the fuzzy video. It distorted going from the phone to youtube. MellerTaklaZX-10ongas_zpsc4b2edc7.jpg

TurbR1391, man that thing RIPS!

What kind of setup are you running with those times (or can you tell)?

Did you change your fairings also or is that an old bike?

thanks man............I don't mind telling........the first video when the bike was blue it was a 1475 with small cams 415/395........I changed the bike up over the winter (same bike just changed the plastics to 2011) Changed the crank to a billet crank. I didn't show all my cards with the time slips. The bike runs over 170mph now on motor. The two pics below are the same bike just changed it up a bit.

Good times for a stock wheelbase bike, and it would make a perfect bracket race bike with identical times
