Here you can see on the outside of the plates I have spacers that take up any space in between the frame rails and the sub frame rails.
The wiring was a huge pain, as we went from lots of space to virtually no space. I had to remove the tabs that went into the frame here so the wires had slack in both directions.
Tight fit, I forgot to move the tip over sensor to it's original location and will move it when I disassemble everything for powdercoat.
Rectifer was installed on the exterior of the stock 1000 subframe portion that the passenger hump clicks into, The bodywork covered it and has a tight clearance but it fits. With this set-up you lose and ability to carry anything other that a tool kit.
Your stock hump key fixture will fit with no problems, however a new cable will need to be made or ordered as the stocker is to short. I will post what we do once it's complete.
I took the harness off of the 1000 tail and spliced it's connectors to the busa wires. Easy!
It looks super sleek under there, I am so glad that I took the time to make this kit work with the stock battery tray.
This picture shows the almost finished product and it also shows the bike with the back (suspension) raised one inch. I still need to relocate the rear brake reservoir.
And Doyle (raydog) test fitting everything.
