The wife and I took our first REAL vacation last week. Hadn't been to Steamboat in 6 years when her family took me while we were still dating. We couldn't have ordered better weather. Skied for 3 straight days and only came down from the mountain to eat lunch. Steamboat Springs is an amazing place to ski. Over 200 inches so far this season and the summit had an over 70" base. Also not too high at 10K feet at the summit.
Enjoy pics!!! More to come in a second post.
Our first day there it snowed on us all day which is exactly what we wanted. We wanted to remember what it feels like to be snowed on being a southerner. The 2nd and 3rd days were nothing but sunshine and fresh snow!
View from the hotel. Just walk across the street to the Gondola
chilling in the hotel room
Brr!
Yours truly ready to hit the slopes
Some photos of the COLD day
