What was THE bike that got you into sportbikes?

I got into sport bikes after my two buddies bought their r6's bombed around town a little on those then bought my busa a week later

The 600 Hurricane is the one that started it for me. Anyone remember the commercial?

I don't remember the commercial, but after learning to ride on a coworkers Honda Magna, I bought a new 1988 Honda Hurricane 600. Dark grey with red rims and red stripes. I LOVED that bike!

Yea, I loved that bike, had a blast learning to ride in the mountains on it. That's back when the speed limit on The Dragon was 55 and you hardly ever saw a car or even a truck. I also picked up a 1986 GSXR-1100 and tried to tame that thing, now it was one violent machine back in the day.

Kawasaki ZX-7 was my dream bike... Then it was the ZX-11. In the mean time, I had a CB-450, a CBR 600 (Hurricane) and a GSXR 600... Then came the might Hayabusa! But - to start it all - what pulled me to sportbikes was the ZX-7!

Finally got to see the commercial above! They didn't mention that the Peregrine Falcon glides on the winds of the hurricanes and is still circling when the winds die down . Please don't say it, I know the Busa wasn't around at that time. It was a joke!
