Fun Times!

Robert and I left the house yesterday morning and went on a little trip. I took pictures along the way, even took a video at Bridal Veil falls, all on my cell phone, but some how the phone deleted all my pics and video back to last October, Anyway, we rode to Suches over to Riders Hill in Daloneaga GA, then went to Blood MTN and over to the top of Brass Town Bald, the highest point in Georgia. By this time I was just getting started good and said, hey, lets go to Bridal Veil Falls, so we did. Once we arrived and took some pics, but are now gone, :( I asked Robert if he was ready to go home, he said " I am following you" Well, that was just what I wanted to hear, so, off to the Gap we rode. :D We rode 28 all the way to CROT, hung out for a while then rode to Robbinsville and ate at Lynns Place just up from the Phillips Motel. Saw Mrs. Reba out front talking it up with her guest of this weekend, she is a great lady. After we finished eating, we geared up and headed for home, across the Skyway. It was almost dark when we started up and by the time we got to the top, it was dark, with just a hint of the days sun in the west. You could see the moon and stars so clearly, and the town of Tellico below. As we stood on the wall from one of the overlooks, the wind was blowing up from the valley below, I thought to myself, how majestic this is. We arrived home just a little before midnight. It was a great ride and a great day. :)

Sorry about the pics. I would have loved to have seen them. Sounds like you had a great time and I am glad you made it home safe.

Man that sounds awesome. I still can bring myself to pull on a helmet after the Bash Weekend. It would be great to be able to ride like that in the "backyard" though:thumbsup:

Nice! It must suck living that close to the Gap!!!

Yeah, really tough,

To stay away. :D

I actually enjoyed the ride through Suches over to Bridal Veil better than the gap. Just something different I guess. The only draw back is that you wind up going so much that it just is not special or exciting anymore. For me to really enjoy new experiences, it almost takes an overnight trip, which is really hard to do as much as I love to ride. Anyway it was still fun, the whole trip. :)

I like riding the Dragon and I used to go at least once a year, coming up from South Florida.....Bashful Boo area! Out west now, exploring new roads now that winter is over. Always made a point to hit the Dragon up & down a few times, get a chili dog or pancakes. With that being said, I love the surrounding roads and the trip getting there is always awesome, as you well know. I always wanted to go to the falls, escorted by a beloved member, but I was not in the area at the right time. Anyway, thanks for the descriptive post and looking forward to seeing the pictures. Worst case is you will need to re-trace your route and take pictures again!

Lets try to get some pics to this post. :)
