I just got back from a ride today, it was 5 C out and I was pretty cold by the time I got home after a two hour ride, no stops at Timmys to warm up!

Do you guys realize that there's calcium and or salt on the road from the prior storm? Even if roads are clear of snow or ice, the chemicals linger in the cracks and crevasses. Tire picks it up and flings it into the nooks and crannies of your bike, this is bad, bad news. I'll ride the cold weather till it snow but once they hit the roads with these chemicals, my bike retires for the season.

Got in my last ride. No chemicals on the road here, we've had nothing but rain until today.

Ottawa salted a couple of weeks ago for the first time, the bike went away the minute I saw that. They were laying it on thick again this morning... it was clear and -5. What a waste... :banghead:

battery out and on tender, oil changed, tires over inflated (go no stand) and bike covered for the season. see ya in April but hes right no salt down yet

It has rained really hard and alot in the last week, think the salt is long gone:please:

Kinda wondering why do you keep taking the battery out? Why not just put a tender on it in the bike? Just curious

no heat in my garage, when it hits -40 dont want the battery freezing.might not with the tender but not taking the chance.
