Went to Wood's Veterans Cemetery and VA grounds today.
It was HOT and HUMID, but just wanted to see the cost of freedom.

Remember that freedom is not free.
Enjoy the pictures and think about the costs as you look through them.

It always brings a lump to my throat when I see pictures like this with so many graves.
I would just like to say thank you to everybody who has fought for our freedoms in the past and are still fighting for them now.

Thanks for the share Kevin, and thanks to all of you who are serving or have served

I visit the local VA cemetery occasionally. Peaceful and nice to read the headstones...here's a few from the facility in South Florida.....

Humbling :usa:

Thank you so much for taking the time to ride out, take those photos, share them with us, and remind us that freedom is not free at all...

To those of you that serve this great country of ours, Thank you! To those that paid the ultimate price we owe you everything. Without you our great country wouldn't exist.

id like to thank my brother, best friend martin and all others that serve our country and allow us to enjoy the freedom that we all love so much. unfortunately our brothers and sisters that serve do not get the recognition and love that they so deserve!

The soldiers life is not for all
A soldier must be willing to give his all
He is overworked and underpaid
A truer patriot was never made

Ready to go at any time
Wherever there is trouble or the first sign
His courage and honor are unsurpassed
Ready and willing to complete the task

Travelling to lands both near and far
He stands his post and looks at the stars
Wondering what he might have done
If he had not chosen to carry a gun

Remember the next time that you are driving by
And see the flag flying proud and high
That somewhere out there a soldier stands
Weary and cold in a foreign land

Protecting our country from our foes
Standing tall and proud come rain or snow.

Thank you for adding some more pictures Poppy. Like you I go out there at times and just wonder and read. It gets to be very sobering.
Anyone else with pictures please post up.

mynewride, Thank you for that poem.
Bless our troops. Past present and future,

THanks for all those pictures. I have a nice one on my phone I use as a wallpaper thought I would share. Not my image, just one I saw along the line and downloaded

And last but not least. The reason these men gave their lives. The Best damn place in the world to live.

Great pics. War is a very bad thing and I would love to see the time that we did not have to have it anymore. Thanks so much for sharing
