Diehards. The BackROADS California Pashnit Tour - Pashnit Motorcycle Forum

3 weeks of rain here in California made for some interesting riding. But we headed out anyway leaving San Francisco and heading up the coast to Northern Cal. Started out with 11 riders, everyone cancelled due to the massive storm. Just my 4 diehard riders remained. Just days after we passed over Hwy 101, the entire hillside collapsed and has covered the entire highway (just north of Garberville).

This was also the inaugural ride of my brand new 08 Busa.

My New Busa! Quick mods were thrown on the stock bike: Zero Gravity windscreen, GSXR mirrors, pegs, FP Tactical Levers, all new RKA magnetic tankbag, Tire Pressure Monitor System, folding brake and shift pedals, and the hit of the weekend, heated gloves & the all new rapidFIRE Heated Liner with wireless temp troller. With temps down to 32 degrees & 6 inches of snow, it saved the day!

Lots of mods to go on the bike!
Complete planned list is here:

This photo is of the all new 3BR product line flagship item - adding a USB power outlet to you bike. Powers the Droid.

3BR Powersports | Wire & Power your Motorcycle with USB Power Outlet | PashnitMoto

Since every gizmo you buy these day is now powered/recharged with USB, we're pretty jazzed about this new line of products.

Yes, waterproof!

My Diehards.

Check out those clouds. We'd just ridden through that.

We opted to stop after riding through some torrential hail. :cheerleader:

Snow?

Dsc04499.jpg

Yes, snow. As we headed north up Hwy 101 headed deeper into the mountains, a snow plow was going south plowing snow & slush off the highway.

Into the redwood forests...

Dsc04509.jpg

See the shadow? Barely. Each time we'd stop at a hole in the clouds, it'd start raining 5 min later & chase us back onto the bikes.

1st gear. Both boots on the ground headed over the pass to get back out to the coast.

We have a disclaimer attached to the tour description that this ride is not for beginners. Proved our point.

Yes, we headed over that.

Dsc04513.jpg

We all made it! Into Honeydew & out to The Lost Coast.

Why ride hundreds of miles just to see one isolated spot along the Pacific Coast? Why not.

Wineries down there everywhere you go. We're just north of Napa Valley.

Dsc04591.jpg

Made it home to snow in the driveway. Hour later it started snowing and 6 inches by morning.

1000 more miles on the clock. :cheerleader:

Dsc04600.jpg

Taking the tour group to Central Cal next weekend. Hwy 1 has collapsed into the ocean just south of Monterey, but excuse to head down Carmel Valley Rd & across Nacimiento Rd back out to the Big Sur coastline.

Doyle, it's going to be all sun!!

Kent, you so suck for missing this ride.:moon:
