I will be aquiring a 1986 CJ7 in a few months. It is bone stock right down to the 4 cyl engine in it. It does run good, and looks ok( crappy maco paint)

I am looking and i can only find a 4in lift kit. I would like a 5 to 6 inch kit so I can run 35's on this thing as well as a v-8 swap kit. Would like to keep it AMC, but would not get my feeling hurt if it went with a fuel injectoed LS7 motor.. So help a new jeep owner out..

What are some good parts sources, some good sites I can get swap info from and so on..

I thank you, the Jeep thanks you, and my litle boy thanks you as he will get to turn wrenches with daddy

The exhaust is just something simple. Block hugger headers and glass packs. Guy didn't want any cats. Pass side was easy. Off the header with a 90 and straight back. Drivers had to be fabed up a little to get around the front drive shaft.

Finished product getting ready to head out. I know it's a 88 YJ, but hopefully this will give you some ideas of what goes into doing it. Maybe easier on yours. Good luck with it It was a fun project. It took me about 2 weeks to do by myself working on it a few hours a day after fork and weekends.
