So, many of you have seen the pictures and read the tales of the events on my much-hailed Birthday Ride (held 18OCT09); as arranged initially by Adam (non-board member), and Bubba and BigFisch.
There were many stories of people stepping up and rallying for the cause after Imelda (BigFisch's 'busa) hit the dirt, but I never took an opportunity to tell you how the end of my day turned out...
Lamb, Adam and I escorted the tow truck to Temecula. Lamb continued south on I-15 with Imelda on the flat-bed and BigFisch in the cab.
Adam and I went out to Santa Ysabel Casino for a (very) late lunch, then on to Sunrise Highway.
Here are some pix of the end of that day...
Again, special thanks to everyone involved in that entire series of events...from the planning and execution to the disaster clean-up.
(I don't think it was ever mentioned that Mike U's phone was the only unit there which had cell coverage, and he allowed me to use it unfettered while rearranging our lives from that remote desert-country road. Thanks, Mike. Good man.)
Enjoy the pix...there are a lot of pics of only the two remaining bikes. First stop: Santa Ysabel Casino, 2nd Stop: Overlook on Sunrise Highway.
FYI, the first shot here is Wasabi at 54,000+ miles. She looks good, eh? Hellzyeah.
Also FYI, we're referring to Adam's new scoot as "Hoonda."
