But is it really practical?

I have a segway and while I love it, I can't see going over it's 12mph limit.  It gets bumpy on every little pebble.  I can imagine what this thing is like.

Interesting concept and article. Thanks for sharing. This kid could go places with this invention. Think about large city commuters and you have a practical application.

is not a new concept, was done many years ago and the original developer was killed during a rally when he waved at a spectator and he crashed... his dad put the machine away for a few decades before selling it.. (was some kind of prince or earl or something)

One fundamental problem with unicycles is you can't stop quickly. And if one tries, they flip over.

That thing has faceplant written all over it.

Especially if the software crashes for WHATEVER reasons....
a ROM chip made in China blows.....kiss your face and ass goodbye.

if the ROM from china blows you could kiss your ass, then your face, then your ass, then ur face....goodbye.

Stopping is easy.  Staying stopped is the tough part.
