Hmmm Mr. Paint... Mark is a PMRA drag racer from Oklahoma City

(Postal @ Jun. 09 2007,19:50) Yep, Looks like it took a Busa to get the job done!

You are correct, the 460 horsepower Stage Two Busa had what that day needed, more power. He and I talked about his boost controller and he was running 25lbs-27lbs of boost in all gears above 2nd...Its one of those things that seem so easy from the bleachers. I was able to run 194 the following weekend at Maxton with only 211 hp..and my 220lbs azz......my next trip won't be till September but by then we will be in a much higher horsepower bracket.

Its a fun time no matter what the result is, in May I blew my motor using too much NOS, a 55 shot like Mr. Paint did. A reality of the need for speed. He has since bullet proofed the motor to the tune of 11K and should be flying in the July event. No matter what, it takes $$$ to go fast and I just dumped some serious coin in my motor...stroker 1543 CC should get the job done.....we will see, strickly for race use only now.

If not I will get another Busa and put a stage three kit on it, MTC multi-stage lockup, 10" over arm, AEM boost controller and be done with it. For now its fun doing the unknown........with something noone else has done yet. Thats fun.........I know Rickey Gadson is squeezing 350 hp...out of his Coby Adams prepped 14....and he is runnig strong against much stronger bikes. I would like to be in the 350-400 range...we will see.

Congrats on the write-up Greg. But note 2WT bias towards the Cowasucki? "Busa rider said that in the near future the Kawasaki will be the bike to have for these land speed events"

Lets see, the Busa went 232, none of the 14s broke 200 and one of them grenaded the motor trying. There are Busa's handling 30# of boost, but according to 2WT "five to seven PSI of turbo boost is a testament to the strength and resilience of Kawasaki's ZX14 motor.

No respect for the King.
