I stripped mine a few years back. Stupid ass Jap engineering aluminum pan with steel bolt. I bought a "Time Sert" kit. It's like a heli coil, I tried it and I would recommend the Time-Sert kit. Steel thread insert with steel bolt. No more worries. Plus I also have it wired.
Nothing beats LH direct to frame sliders. Requires cutting for the Busa install but that's the only way to roll, I've unfortunately test LH and they work and I will use nothing else. direct to frame - can't beat that. I will not take the easy way out. Up to u....
Pat, those racks don't look like SW-Motech. They look like Givi's. But I think Givi may only make Busa racks for top cases. If we want to install side bags then we gotta get SW-Motechs. That box looks big enough. Happy Winter!
I have a Gen 2 and thinking about getting Givi hard luggage. V35 for side bags. Who has these and what has been your experience? Do they effect handling at speed? Enough capacity? Any issues?
Also, I am not sure which top case to add - the V46 may be too big? or the E360...

They are priceeee, but you will notice a difference. The bike feels more like a litre bike, easier handling, quicker response in corners. You will never look back.
Full,
Congratulations on your new Duc. It's a very sweet ride and I am very interested in hearing from you how the bike handles and runs.
I remember that you did a very nice job upgrading your Busa, and I bet the new owner is very happy.
Your size - neither bike is very comfortable as stock. Although the Busa may be a bit better if you ask me. It depends on what kind of riding you want to do. Mostly touring and occasional twisties then the Busa. Want a light weight bike that you can be very aggresive in the twisties or...
