LEAVING BUSA LAND - THANKS FOR THE RIDE!

Hi. Just checking in with the crew. My son tells me I'm a bobo for selling the Busa, which was his favorite in the fleet. Miss the speed rush, but not the weight in my garage or hellishly steep driveway. Still, I was looking at pix here - and the red ones sure are pretty!

    Suzuki GSX-S 1000 GT+

My Busa is recently gone for a 2023 BMW R 1250 RS - and I'm not looking back. BMW isn't as quick or fast, but much better center of gravity, modern electronics and COSTS THOUSANDS LESS! This ain't to kick the Suzuki, but my attempt to turn it into a sports tourer as abject failure. The BMW is...

LEAVING BUSA LAND - THANKS FOR THE RIDE!

Hi gang, didn't post here a lot but visited frequently. Found the forum a wealth of information on Hayabusas and general motorcycle knowledge. I've sold my 2019 after only 3750 miles and many tweaks. Is wonderful machine, but simply got too bulky for me to move around as I age and the fun...

Life without Gen 3 is possible but pointless...

Interesting account and gives me pause. I'm considering selling my 2019 Busa - my wife says keep it - to slim down my herd, eliminate the $1200 annual ripoff insurance and maybe get something less tall and heavy. I worry if I'll regret it. Have owned more than 35 motorcycles in the last dozen...

Bought my new 2023 Busa 2 weeks woke up this morning and gone!

Had a similar theft a couple years ago. Contact the police. Be pro-active: tell the detectives (they are assigned to the case) there is parking garage video. Document your contacts with police. File an insurance claim. I also put the word out to a local MC i rode with. Got the bike back in 24...

does anybody know what a haybusa is these days??

Lots of Harley guys know and appreciate the Hayabusa - and some of us even own them.

does anybody know what a haybusa is these days??

As I noted elsewhere, the Busa was an attention-getter at Sturgis. My son (Hayabusa) and I (CVO Harley) were gassing up in North Platte when a young dude on a 600 CBR Honda circled the block and turned around to see the Busa, which apparently is very rare in those parts. Had long jaw sessions...

    A HAYBUSA AT STURGIS

Sadly, I'm not much for photos on vacations. Took one snap of Devil's tower, one snap of Rushmore, some scene vista shots at Custer State Park, which is freaking aweseome. Don't have any showing bike in sea of Harleys or pix of the Busa & CVO side by side. Really not my thing. Busa drew...

    Making the Busa Lighter

SWITCHING to an Akroypovic full exhaust will save 32 pounds and lighten your wallet by about $1300.

    A HAYBUSA AT STURGIS

Who'dda thunk it! In the Land of Harley, my Hayabusa was king. My son and I rode to Sturgis (about 2k RT), me on a CVO Street Glide, he on my tricked out Busa. No one said boo about my 40K ride, but everyone wanted to talk about the Suzuki. I found it ridiculously amusing and proof the Harley...

    I have no room left

Or you could take my way out: Buy a house with a three-car garage. That said, I'm slowly moving into Bumblebee's camp particularly since I left Florida and can't ride year round. Not sure I could go back to one but three might be the magic number: Busa, CVO Sport Glide & and a new 117 Harley Low...

    Wanna come back

I'm 72 have Harleys, a Hayabusa and some real race bikes. You'll be fine. Old age is in your head - and sometimes your knees. Go for it.

Cap's on the hunt for a bike

Well, I do live in Oklahoma, and last Sunday went for a 200 mile RT. Busa kept me toasty. Good luck on your bike, Cap. Stock seems low in OKC area.
