It ended up being a flakey ATO blade style inline fuse holder on a main 30 amp power line I had. It was one that was added to my modified harness. Pulled the fuse to check it and it was good and luckily had ignition turned on so when putting it back in noticed the power come on again briefly and...
My TRE has power to it as it comes on and there is good voltage at the heavy gauge wires coming into the starter relay but I think these are more direct battery connections. All my accessories like headlights, fan bypass switch, etc. work but these also are certainly more directly wired.
What...
Doing some troubleshooting on my '07 setup. If you turn the key on does the gauge cluster initialize but just wont start with the kickstand down? Or, will the gauge cluster not even turn on at all? Thanks !!!!
Have a unique busa engine setup but hoping can get some help as mostly stock stuff. Was just cruising around and it shutoff. It was so quick my stock gauge cluster still says 30mph and 5k RPMs.
I have good battery and voltage is everywhere except things that are tied to ignition. So, gauge...
Plugged the Power Commander back in and it fired and ran normally now too ... all is good now ... must have just been all gum'd up inside from sitting. Time to go play in the sand! Thanks everyone ...
WhooHooo ... she fired without the Power Commander. It initially still showed no signs of life but then I heard a sputter after a couple attempts. Then had to give it some extra gas and many more attempts to turn over. It still really struggled but then turned over and is now idling just fine...
Thanks.
Tip over sensor (kickstand too) are there I just don't know where they are or what to really check on them.
I do have Power Command. Will give that a shot. It is powering on ok (get lights).
Maybe when the guy welded this blew something?
FYI ... Hayabusa engine being used in off road vehicle.
Started fine about 6 months ago and has never had issues starting at all and has been running great for a long period of time in general. Sat in a shop most this time waiting for some fabrication/frame welding work. It tries to turn over...
Finally got around to trying a few bolts and mine was not a #8 for sure ... too small. I had an M5 that seemed to worked ok but it was ever so slightly sloppy fit so it MIGHT actually be a #10 fine pitch threads if it indeed is standard thread but think most are metric. Not sure on the factory...
That would be great! If could do after cold start and just let idle for about 180 seconds and then shoot each would be perfect.
I did get mine running properly since my originally post and got the following:
1 -- 507
2 -- 700
3 -- 670
4 -- 630
I have since played with the fuel mapping...
Could not dig up the specific answers I was asking above from anywhere/anyone but I can tell you moved it up front which is also in front of my radiator so it gets some additional flow when fan comes on and did same test as above and went from 220 to 160F ... I'll take that and call it good.
No obvious charging problems but I have had past experience where these shutoff due to temp when adding lights etc so appears ok 90% of time. It also kust did not charge as good as it could as it got hot. Never quantified what was too hot pr even normal ao curious now. Mine is '07 setup.
